애완동물

Though they forced the cow to plough the field or pull heavy burdens, the farmers cherished the cow like children.
농부들이 소에게 밭을 갈게 하면서도, 자식처럼 그 소를 소중히 여겼다. 
Even though they couldn't get something to eat, the farmers gave food to the cow. 
자신이 먹을 것은 없어 끼니를 거르면서도, 소는 꼭 밥을 먹였다.
They cherished the dog the same as the cow, too. 
개도 마찬가지로 소처럼 아꼈다.
Recently, many people breed the pet.
최근 애완짐승을 기르는 사람들이 많아졌다.
  Because most pets cannot get treatment by medical insurance, the breeder has to pay much money at veterinary clinics1).
애완동물 대부분이 의료보험이 적용되지 않아 양육자들은 수의원에 많은 돈을 지불해야 한다. 
 When the pet dies, some breeders send obituaries2) to acquaintances, hold a funeral service, and feel sadness together.
애완동물이 죽으면, 양육자들은 지인들에게 부고장을 보내고, 장례식을 치르고, 슬픔을 같이 한다.
  If the pet does harm to a person, the breeder has difficulty in soothing3) the victim. 애완동물이 사람에게 해를 끼치면 양육자들은 피해자들을 달래는데 어려움을 겪는다. 
Sometimes the barking pet sound pet causes a conflict between residents.
간혹 짓는 개 소리로 주민들간의 갈등을 겪는다.

 Excrement4) also causes the conflict.
똥 역시 갈등 원인이다.
 I heard that the parents-in-law boiled and ate the dog that the daughter-in-law asked to take care of.
시부모가 며느리가 돌봐달라고 맡겨놓은 개를 삶아먹었다는 말을 들었다. 
  Since the incident occurred, the daughter-in law has not visited the house of the parents-in-law. 
그 사건 이후로 며느리는 시부모댁을 가지 않는다고 한다.
But, many breeders feel happy, thinking of the pets which shakes a tail or takes a greeting gesture. 
그러나 수많은 양육자들이 애완동물이 꼬리를 흔들고 반기는 몸짓을 생각하면서  행복에 젓는다.
They forget tiredness in breeding chores.
그들은 양육잡일을 하다보면 피곤한 것도 잊는다.
  They spend much money, preparing many articles5) for the pet and taking the pet when they go off6) to other place. 
여러가지 용품을 준비하고 외출시 동반하면서 많은 돈을 투자한다.
Now, when a problem arises due to the pet, the persons concerned have to find a compromise7), making a concession each other.     
애완동물로 문제가 발생하면 관계인들은 서로 양보하면서 타협점을 찾아야 한다.
